1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Fast Plumber website and to plumbing, drain cleaning, inspection, installation, maintenance, repair, and related services provided by Fast Plumber.

These terms are intended to be read together with any estimate, work order, invoice, financing agreement, warranty document, or other written agreement provided to you.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable consumer protection laws.

2. Website Information

The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. Plumbing problems can differ depending on the property, plumbing system, materials, installation, maintenance history, and condition of the affected area.

Website information should not be treated as a diagnosis, guaranteed solution, quotation, or substitute for an on-site assessment by a qualified plumbing professional.

We make reasonable efforts to keep website content accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that every page will always be complete, error-free, or up to date.

3. Estimates and Pricing

Any price discussed by telephone, email, text message, or website form before an inspection is generally an initial estimate only. Final pricing may depend on the actual condition of the plumbing system, accessibility, materials, labour, equipment, permits, disposal requirements, and any additional problems discovered during the work.

Where possible, pricing and the proposed scope of work will be explained before work begins. Customers must approve any material change to the agreed scope of work before additional work is performed, except where immediate action is reasonably required to prevent injury or serious property damage.

Unless otherwise stated, applicable taxes, permit fees, specialty equipment, subcontractor charges, disposal fees, and unforeseen repairs may be charged separately.

4. Appointments and Property Access

Appointment times and arrival windows are estimates. Delays may occur because of traffic, weather, emergencies, supplier delays, or earlier service calls taking longer than expected.

The customer is responsible for:

• Providing safe and reasonable access to the property and work area.
• Ensuring an adult with authority to approve the work is present or available.
• Removing personal belongings and valuables from the work area.
• Securing pets and advising us of known safety hazards.
• Providing accurate information about the property and plumbing issue.
• Obtaining any required landlord, condominium, or property-owner approval.

We may refuse or stop work where the property is unsafe, inaccessible, unsanitary, or where our technicians are subjected to abusive, threatening, or inappropriate conduct.

5. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

A cancellation, dispatch, or missed-appointment fee may apply where a technician has already been dispatched, where access cannot be provided, or where an appointment is cancelled without reasonable notice. Any applicable fee will be communicated where reasonably possible.

Statutory cancellation rights available under applicable Ontario law continue to apply and are not waived by this section.

6. Hidden or Unforeseen Conditions

Plumbing work can reveal hidden or previously unknown conditions, including corrosion, improper installation, damaged pipes, mould, asbestos-containing materials, structural damage, frozen lines, blocked drains, inaccessible shut-off valves, electrical hazards, or code issues.

Fast Plumber is not responsible for pre-existing defects or concealed conditions that could not reasonably be identified before work began. Additional work required to address these conditions may result in additional charges and may require a revised estimate.

7. Drain Cleaning Services

Drain cleaning is intended to restore or improve drainage based on the condition of the system at the time of service. A cleared blockage does not guarantee that a drain will never clog again.

Recurring blockages may be caused by damaged, collapsed, offset, corroded, poorly graded, grease-filled, root-intruded, or otherwise defective piping. Additional camera inspections, excavation, pipe replacement, hydro jetting, or other repairs may be recommended.

Where fragile, deteriorated, or improperly installed piping is present, ordinary drain-cleaning procedures may expose or worsen an existing weakness. We will take reasonable care but cannot guarantee the condition of concealed or deteriorated pipes.

8. Customer-Supplied Products and Materials

Fast Plumber may agree to install customer-supplied fixtures, equipment, parts, or materials. We are not responsible for defects, missing parts, incompatibility, manufacturer delays, performance issues, or warranty claims relating to products supplied by the customer.

Labour required to remove, reinstall, repair, or replace a defective customer-supplied product may be charged separately.

9. Payment

Payment is due according to the terms shown on the estimate, work order, invoice, or other written agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due when the service is completed.

Deposits may be required for larger projects, special-order materials, equipment purchases, or scheduled installation work.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate billing information and paying all authorized charges, applicable taxes, and approved additional work. Overdue balances may be subject to reasonable collection costs or interest where disclosed and permitted by law.

10. Warranties

Any warranty applying to a particular repair, installation, product, or service will be described on the applicable estimate, work order, invoice, or warranty document.

Unless otherwise stated, a warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear.
• Misuse, abuse, neglect, freezing, or lack of maintenance.
• Damage caused by another contractor or an unauthorized repair.
• Pre-existing defects or concealed plumbing conditions.
• Recurring blockages caused by defective or damaged piping.
• Customer-supplied products or materials.
• Damage caused by flooding, fire, weather, pests, or other external events.

Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms and claims process.

11. Limitation of Liability

Fast Plumber will perform authorized work with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fast Plumber will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of use, lost profits, lost business, or damage resulting from a customer’s delay in arranging recommended repairs.

The customer must notify Fast Plumber promptly if they believe our work has caused a problem and must provide a reasonable opportunity for us to inspect and, where appropriate, correct the issue.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or customer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

12. Emergency Services

We make reasonable efforts to respond quickly to urgent plumbing calls, but response times are not guaranteed. Availability may be affected by call volume, weather, technician availability, road conditions, and the nature of other emergencies.

Customers should take reasonable steps to limit damage while waiting for service, such as shutting off the water supply when it is safe to do so. For fire, electrical danger, gas concerns, serious flooding, or immediate danger to people or property, contact the appropriate emergency service.

13. Website Forms and Electronic Communications

Submitting a website form, email, or text message does not guarantee that an appointment has been booked. An appointment is confirmed only when Fast Plumber provides confirmation.

By providing your contact information, you authorize us to contact you about your inquiry, appointment, estimate, service, invoice, or related customer-service matters.

Marketing messages will only be sent in accordance with applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.

14. Privacy

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, property information, service history, and billing details.

This information may be used to respond to inquiries, schedule services, prepare estimates, provide plumbing work, process payments, maintain service records, communicate with customers, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.

15. Third-Party Websites

This website may contain links to third-party websites, maps, payment processors, review platforms, social media services, or other external resources. Fast Plumber does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices.

16. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Fast Plumber name, logo, website design, written content, graphics, photographs, and other website materials are owned by or licensed to Fast Plumber.

Website materials may not be copied, republished, distributed, sold, modified, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

Any dispute will be dealt with by a court or tribunal having jurisdiction in Ontario, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

18. Changes to These Terms

Fast Plumber may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

The version in effect when a service is booked or work is authorized will apply to that service, subject to any separate written agreement.

19. Severability

If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
